Den Bosch has many beautiful church buildings and organs. During previous editions of November Music, special concerts took place on the organs of St. John's and the Grote Kerk. However, the magnificent and historic Vollebreg organ of St. Cathrien has never sounded during the festival. Regular player and renowned church organist Willem Hörmann now presents a special contemporary organ recital in the St. Catherine's Church. Hörmann plays classics by Olivier Messiaen, Thierry Escaich and the recently deceased Wolfgang Rihm, among others. City composer Bart van Dongen writes new work especially for this occasion.
