The warm, lilting sound of the cello is a perfect match with the melodious harmony of the choir. Dutch top cellist Pieter Wispelwey will now perform a duet with the renowned choir Cappella Amsterdam. The main part is formed by the masterpiece Canticle of the Sun by the Russian composer Sofia Gubaidulina. One of the Netherlands' most beloved young composers Mathilde Wantenaar is writing a new work for cello and choir especially for this occasion.
